Oliver: Twinkle twinkle little star, how I wonder what you are, up above the world so high, like a gas ball in the sky.

Me: Where did you learn that?

Oliver: well, cause you know the sun is a big ball of gas in the sky.

Me: No. Where did you learn that? Who taught you that?

Oliver: Blues Clues.

Of course you learned it from Blues Clues.

Lazy Sunday Morning

We were just sitting around when Oliver got the idea that we should set the timer on the camera and take a family picture like we did for our Christmas picture. We are all dresses comfortably (mom and dad still in jammies), hair everywhere and the whole family smooshed on the end of the couch. PERFECT. This picture captures my family more than any other family picture we have taken so far. Great idea Oliver!

Sledding

We went sledding last weekend. There is pretty substantial hill a mile down the street from us. We tried to go sledding there once last year. Oliver went down once and Amelia and Tim had a couple successful runs. We were home 15 minutes later.

Second times a charm, right?

I was the designated picture taker since sledding is not advised while pregnant. I was a little concerned of logistics of one parent and 2 young kids sledding, but oh well. They went down the hill a few times crammed into our small blue sled.

Then came our brilliant plan. Actually, it was Amelia's idea. She wanted to go down all by herself, but I thought this was a safer idea...

...And it worked great. They made it down just fine.

They did the train sledding a few times and then Tim took Oliver solo. Amelia was really wanted to go down so she hopped in her little purple baby sled. She really wanted to do it by herself. So I sent her down to Tim waiting at the bottom. You are going to have to use your imagination as to what that looked like because I was too busy not breathing to take any pictures. She has no fear. Not one bone in her body was the least bit nervous. By the end of the very fun and injury free sledding adventure Tm was pulling both of them up the hill because they were too tired.
