Let me explain myself

I know, I know, I know, it's been a while and I am feeling the need to explain my lack of blogging.

Reason #1: This is where Amelia is choosing to take her naps. Due to our current cramped quarters the sofa/arm of the sofa is our desk chair, so you see why nap time blogging is out.

Reason #2: The basement. We have been working on this project since Memorial Day 2009. Now you see why evening and weekend blogging is out. Reason #3: Need I say more.

My life has been very disorganized lately so I am feeling the need to update everyone on my life in the form of a list.

1. Amelia turned 2.

2. Oliver turned 4.

3. Eloise was born

4. I am no longer working durning the week, yay.

5. We only have doors, trim, tiling, installing bathroom fixtures left on the basement.

6. Oliver started t-ball

7. Oliver got into Crossroads Montessori pre-K. He starts in September

8. I'm sure I'm missing a ton. I have to go through my iphoto library to jog my memory.

There. Blog guilt be gone.

My Little Rock Star

Twinkle, twinkle

Oliver: Twinkle twinkle little star, how I wonder what you are, up above the world so high, like a gas ball in the sky.

Me: Where did you learn that?

Oliver: well, cause you know the sun is a big ball of gas in the sky.

Me: No. Where did you learn that? Who taught you that?

Oliver: Blues Clues.

Of course you learned it from Blues Clues.

Lazy Sunday Morning

We were just sitting around when Oliver got the idea that we should set the timer on the camera and take a family picture like we did for our Christmas picture. We are all dresses comfortably (mom and dad still in jammies), hair everywhere and the whole family smooshed on the end of the couch. PERFECT. This picture captures my family more than any other family picture we have taken so far. Great idea Oliver!
